June 17, 2017
I hope you are enjoying the start to summer.
If we haven’t had a chance to meet in person, I’d like to introduce myself and share some information regarding a new development proposal that the Village has been asked to consider.
NorthPoint Development is proposing to build a new business park in Elwood, just east of Route 53.
Separate from the BNSF and UP facilities, NorthPoint’s Compass Business Park would include warehousing, distribution and light manufacturing. The developer is proposing a “closed loop” roadway system to contain truck traffic with no access allowed to local roads.
I’d like to invite you to an informational open house so we can all learn more about the proposal and have an opportunity to provide feedback.
I feel that it’s in the best interest of the community that we are well aware of the prospective employers looking to come to the area and hearing what they have to say. Please join us:

In the meantime, I encourage you to visit NorthPoint’s website at http://cbpark.com to learn more about the project and sign up for updates. I would also like to share with you a fact sheet provided to the Village. I will continue to share more as the project proposal develops.
